Part of the ‘Knights of the Sky’ sculpture series, ‘Endeavour’ was produced by Gregory Percival specifically for the Fly to Help charity event held at the Royal Air Force Club in 2013.
Paying tribute to Squadron Leader Geoffrey Wellum DFC, the cold cast bronze resin sculpture depicts the pilot in his MkIIa Spitfire diving and rolling to the left. His Squadron code ‘Q J’ is visible on the body of the sculpture along with the riveted fuselage panels.
These new Cold Cast Editions are a limited edition of 100 only. Each piece is hand-finished in cold cast bronze resin. Cold cast from the same mould made for the waxes sent to the foundry for the bronze editions. Mounted on a slate base and are signed and numbered by Gregory Percival. The original 25 bronze editions are selling out very quickly. These new cold cast editions provide a way to own one of Greg`s rare sculptures.
