Part of the ‘Knights of the Sky’ sculpture series, ‘Endeavour’ was produced by Gregory Percival specifically for the Fly to Help charity event held at the Royal Air Force Club in 2013.
Paying tribute to Squadron Leader Geoffrey Wellum DFC, the bronze sculpture depicts the pilot in his MkIIa Spitfire diving and rolling to the left. His Squadron code ‘Q J’ is visible on the body of the sculpture along with the riveted fuselage panels.
The completed work is a limited edition of 25 hand-finished bronze casts mounted on slate and are signed and numbered by the artist.
